02:47 Request from MRSC Forth for ALB to launch to give assistance in search for missing small craft
with two persons on board in the Firth of Forth.
The search continued with the assistance of the ILB from first light. The ILB was used to search inshore from Fife Ness to Methil, with crew change and assistance from shore crew. The ILB was back on station at dusk. 17:30 the ALB was back at Anstruther and refuelled have searched, with other lifeboats and helicopter assistance, for over 14hrs

13:11 Request from MRSC Forth for Lifeboats to launch to give assistance to two divers 
with 'bends' symptoms off Elie. Both ILB & ALB launched. The ILB was on scene within 8 minutes
of the call, as helmsman, crewman and launcher were close to the station.
The ILB returned to Anstruther for additional oxygen and to relay two paramedics to the casualty.
The RAF Sea King helicopter based at RAF Boulmer air lifted the casualties from the ALB, to transfer
them to Aberdeen hospital's decompression chamber. 15:50 both boats were back at Anstruther and refuelled

05:56 Request from MRSC Forth for Lifeboat to launch to give assistance to Fishing Vessel
'Solway Provider' aground on rocks at Ruddins point, Largo Bay, Firth of Forth.
ALB & ILB launched and on scene at 06:34.
Coastguard confirmed that FV off the rocks. ILB returned and ALB escorted FV into Pittenweem harbour, no further assistance required, ALB returned to Anstruther & rehoused.

difficulty off Cellardyke with one person onboard
18:16 ALB brought to immediate readiness
18:20 Yacht of similar description seen entering Anstruther harbour It was confirmed that the vessel required no assistance and no others were involved 18:34 Coastguard advised & ALB stood down.

14:30 Request from a Diving Club for assistance with one of their team requiring
medical attention following a dive & 'bends'symptons. The crew were on stand by to effect a lift from the 
lifeboat or adjacent ground to the helicopter. First aid was administered throughout
until the SAR, ambulance & paramedics took over.

being heard of shore from Cellardyke (Firth of Forth) in thick fog. ALB & ILB launched
12:17 Casualties - two young girls located on rocks by ILB. Picked up and transferred to ALB
landed at Anstruther, no further assistance required.

06:58 Request from Forth MRSC to launch and assist a motor sailor 'Up Spirits' 
in difficulty off Pittenweem with reported engine & gear failure. 07:30 ALB on scene and established that the person onboard was OK.
08:03 ALB berthed at Pittenweem, crew & shore crew at low tide assisted with ropes
and anchors to aid recovery of the yacht once she floated.
14:04 ALB towed the yacht safely off the rocks & into Anstruther harbour

21:20 Request from Forth MRSC to assist in search for missing fishing vessel 'Amber' off Methil.  
Low water launch, ALB proceeded to search area in conjunction with Kinghorn & Queensferry ILB's
plus other fishing vessels and Rescue Helicopter 131 from Boulmer.
Diesel oil was located on the surface with empty deployed liferaft, liferings and pieces of flotsam.
Detail line abreast search pattern continued from Largo to Kirkaldy with coastguards on the shore.
04:30 ALB released from search area and berthed at Pittenweem, because of tidal restrictions at Anstruther. 09:00 07/02/03 ALB returned to the search area accompanied by Kinghorn ILB, Queensferry ILB & Dunbar ALB.
13:45 Lifeboats released from search area, to await salvage vessel & divers.
16:00 ALB rehoused at Anstruther
